Chapter Four: Fighting for Love

Three Days After

Callie gave Arizona the space she asked. Today, Arizona hasn't seen Callie anywhere in the hospital. She woke up without Callie beside her and left no breakfast for her like her usual routine.

Arizona/Derek/Owen/Alex/Avery

"Have you guyz seen Callie? Haven't see her all day." - Arizona

"No, I got here a little late because Zola had to be brought to the daycare and she just wouldn't let go." - Derek

Derek and Owen look at each other. Having the same thought that Arizona is looking for her wife.

"Anything you need? Anyone you miss?" - Owen. Both men laugh.

"Oh well I just woke up this morning and she just wasn't there and you know, usual breakfast in the morning. I was just wondering that's all." - as Arizona denies her real feelings.

Alex and Avery enter the scene running.

"Dr. Robbins! I am holding the case of Brian, right?" - Avery

"No! You had your turn for several weeks rich kid, get your scalpel and make ugly people pretty just like your Barbie face! This is MY CASE!" - Alex

"Are you insane? You are talking to the head of Pediatrics and she gave that case TO ME. Which part did you not understand?!!" - Avery pushing Alex

"You didn't push me! You didn't push me!" - as Alex pushes him back creating a tension in the lobby.

"Hey! Stop it both of you! The case is mine! No one is going to be in my service today. You guyz are behaving like boys! There's a lot of patients in this hospital! Get yourselves busy!" - Arizona

Bailey/Callie/Arizona

"Bailey! Have you seen Dr. Torres yet?" - Arizona

"Yeah, she was in the locker room. She's preparing for this big operation. And the hospital is flying someone for Cardio." - as Bailey eats a couple of bread.

"Why not Yang? I think Yang is excellent. She should be given this case." - Arizona

"No, it's Chief's decision. The patient is a high profiled patient slash client. We can't put an intern in there." - Bailey

"So why put the patient here? Why not put the patient in the hospital where the Cardio doctor is?" - Arizona

"We have the best Ortho which happens to be your wife. The rib cage is much more complicated than what you think... Have you had your breakfast yet?.." - Bailey

"No.. I.. I just..." - Arizona

Callie appears from behind and puts a food on the table.

"Right here! For your breakfast! I got up early this morning and wasn't able to prepare for your breakfast because there was an emergency. Plus! The Cardio will be here any minute.".. - as Callie sighs

Sits right next to Arizona and kisses her wife on her cheek.

"I miss you. " - Callie

Arizona felt the same way but chose to show otherwise.

"She was just looking for you." - Bailey

"Oh really? My beautiful wife was looking for me. Should I be excited now?" - as she kisses her wife's right cheek again.

Callie re arranges her chair and moved it closer to Arizona's. She puts her face close to Arizona's.

" I was looking at you when I got up. And I wanted to kiss you..." kisses her wife again on her cheek. "but yeah, I could only hope. Can I kiss you now? Like the kiss you and then kiss me back kinda thing. I miss you." - Callie

"Okay, you two might want to get a room. And I will have to get myself busy for something sensible and save human beings." - Bailey

Bailey stands up and leaves. Arizona looks at Callie. Looking at her lips and eyes. So tempted to kiss her wife.

"Not happening.".. - Arizona

A nurse enters the scene.

"Dr. Torres? I'm sorry I'm new here and I still am not familiar with everybody's faces. Someone's been looking for you." - Nurse

"She's probably talking about me." - Arizona

"She's blonde and has blue eyes and.." - Nurse

"Yeah, we're good. She's here. Found her." as Callie wraps her arms around Arizona's neck.

"You found her? Okay. "  as the nurse leaves.

" You were looking for me everywhere. Hmmmm I am sensing that you miss me so bad. Can we be wife and wife again? Let's have a date tonight and have some romantic night or.." - Callie

"Dr. Torres, the blonde blue eyed doctor is.." - nurse

"..is here.. I am having a moment with my wife already. Call me if it's emergency. I already have the person right here. Look, this beautiful blonde blue eyes petite goddess is right here next to me so you can.." - Callie

"..she's tall. And she's there in the lobby...waiting for you. I just spoke to her. Unless I went nuts on my first day. " nurse

Callie/Arizona/Owen/Alex/the hired Cardio

As Callie and Arizona walk down the hallway, Callie looks at the back of a tall blonde woman, wearing trench coat and are being greeted by Richard Webber and Derek Shepperd.

Callie is surely familiar who this woman is. Until they stopped when they reached their area.

"Hello.." - Callie says softly.

The woman turns her back.

"Hello Dr. Torres!" as the doctor smiles and Callie looks at the blue eyed doctor and looked stunned.

Dr. Erica Hahn

Erica Hahn is back.

Arizona looks from the Nurse's Station and stares at Erica with her towering height. Arizona knows that Erica is Callie's first girlfriend and a lot of thoughts ran through her mind. Callie felt like she couldn't move. The woman who left her cold in a parking lot is again, right in front of her. The pressure was too much to take.

" Is this the hired doctor for this operation, Dr. Hunt?" - Callie

" I am not "this". I am Dr. Hahn. Apparently, your hospital needs an excellent Cardio surgeon and apparently I am the only one you got." - Erica

"Owen, Cristina is an excellent Cardio doctor, why do we have to work with strangers.." - Callie

"Cristina is a senior intern The patient is a high profiled client, we need Dr. Hahn's help, she's here to help and that's it." - Owen

" I don't find any reason why you have to explain these things to Dr. Torres, Dr. Hunt. Let's just do all our jobs. Nothing personal. "- Erica

"For as long as I am working with a person with no integrity, I wouldn't be able to perform well like I always do Dr. Hunt." - Callie

"Integrity what? Oh, no  I am not going to waste my time arguing with you, Calliope.. I.."- Erica

"Shhh! You do not call me Calliope. We are working. You call me Dr. Torres like the rest of everybody calls me in this hospital. I am only allowing the person that I married to call me that!" - Callie

 "Oh wow... You're married. That's that's.. " - Erica chuckles

"Hey!.. Okay.. I can work with you. But I will not be working with you if you go there. No talking about anything else other than this operation."- Callie

"Okay. You got it." - Erica

Callie walks out and headed to the elevator.

"You guyz should have seen the "Bizarre Love Triangle" scene earlier!" - Cristina while tying her shoe.

"Bizarre what?" - Meredith

"What bizarre?"- Alex

"You butting in, that's bizarre!"- Cristina

"Wait, Cristina! What is it, really?" - Meredith

"Ice Queen is back!" - Cristina

"What?!! You mean Dr. Hahn?!" - Meredith in disbelief

"Erica Hahn?!" - Alex

"Booo-hoo! Yes okay, Erica Hahn! Didn't I just say Erica Hahn?!!" - Cristina

"Who's Erica Hahn?" - April

"Hey! No one rang your buzzer, redhead! So.. Just.. Keep your things in the locker there..and..and just create a miracle for once, okay?" - Cristina

"So what happened? Has Callie seen her yet?" - Mer

"Oh yes baby! And she was like an Ortho surgeon who broke her own bones! Haha! And boy Latina was all so bitchy!"- Cristina

"They are fighting? Are they enemies?" - April

"Grab yourself a friend, ginger, will you? Meredith  is my person, go grab someone from the nurse's station, it'd be cool!" - Cristina.

"What about Robbins?" - Alex

"She was on the side. Just staring. You know that uptight Blondie attending, she'll just stare and flash that "super magic smile" and just lash out once you utter a triggering insane insult. She can be really surprisingly bitchy in the most unexpected way huh?" - Cristina

"Well, a Colonel's daughter, what you say?" - April

"Seriously? I'm gonna turn you back to being a virgin again Kepner if you say one more word!" - Cristina

"I am late! So maybe I'll see you later after my surgery with Dr. Bailey?" - Meredith

"Dr. Torres, please make sure that this part right here.. (points at one of the rib cages sticking out to the patient's heart) is in place once I have this stitched." - Erica

 " I know exactly what to do, Dr. Hahn. I did not top my class and become one of the top Ortho surgeons for nothing." - Callie

"Dr. Torres, I am not questioning your credentials, I am letting you know how to position your patient's..." - Erica

"I know what to do, Dr. Hahn." - Callie

"Do not take this personally, Callie.."- Erica

"It's Dr. Torres M.D, Dr. Hahn, now can we continue?" - Callie

Anesthesiologist coughs on the side. Callie stops and Erica continues to do the surgery.

"Everything okay, Dr. Robbins?"- Derek

"You seem..really shocked with Hahn's arrival huh?" - Owen

"Did they last for, say, years?" Arizona

"Hahaha, you seem to be talking to the wrong people. I have no idea what went on with those two. Erica wasn't so friendly to anybody. And surprisingly, Callie got into her. The next thing I know, they were dating. But Erica is really the best in her field, I must say. " - Derek

"I do too! I am the best in my own field. I was once appointed as Chief. I didn't just date Calliope Torres, I married her. We have a baby..not really my sperm because I do not produce that kind of mighty oak. We live together and...and..and now, we're..we're getting a divorce... Yeah, I think that's.. pathetic. " - Arizona

"Ohhhh...we have a green eyed jealous monster here.. Hahaha!" - Owen

"I am not jealous. Okay? I just don't want being compared from one of my wife's greatest lesbian ex lovers. "- Arizona

"Lover. Just one.." - Alex entering the scene while getting some documents from the nurse.

"...They lasted for a good 2 or 3 months. Callie was the only friend Hahn had in this hospital and that friendship became dirty and the next thing you know they were flirting inside the elevator.." - Alex

"I don't like that part. Can you go to the part where they broke up?" - Arizona

"They didn't." - Alex

"Didn't break up? What? like no closure? No "it's over" thing or.. "it's not you-it's me" kind of thing?" - Arizona

"Hahn just disappeared from a parking lot and left Callie there. And she didn't come back." - Alex

"So that's when I saw her in that dirty bathroom..." - Arizona realizing how things went with Callie and Erica.

"Did Callie love her by any chance?.. I mean, I'm sorry, this is somewhat making me curious.."- Owen

"No. I'm not close to Dr. Torres but you know how it is with the twisted sisters ( Cristina and Meredith). Erica was her first. And like experimental relationship- trial and error thing. She was confused and all that."- Alex

"Is there such a thing?" - Arizona

"There was, for her. That's what you get when you turn into a bisexual, you don't know what you want or who you want or why you want the person you want."- Alex

"That's a little good news for you.. " - Derek

"But I guess, you're her first serious and only lesbian relationship. She was never crazy about Hahn.".. - Alex

"You know, that's why you're my favorite intern. " - Arizona smiles

"Yeah and you're not making me scrub.." - Alex

"Really?.. I actually have this case..." - Arizona

Alex smiling as he thinks he could scrub in.

"..but Avery got it first, so I might need to get a big big big case for you next time.." - Arizona about to leave.

"But I gave you the buzz!!!" - Alex.

"..well, you can scrub in. Avery was the first person who volunteered...but ahhh... Since you are my favorite intern, you can scrub in. " Arizona smiles.

"Yes! That's what I am talking about!" - Alex being excited.

"..with Dr. Avery...save that kid with Dr. Avery. And I expect you to do no mistake, are we clear on that?" - Arizona leaving the three doctors.

Alex is left with no choice.

Arizona/Erica

Arizona looking at the board. Erica enters the scene. Erica stares at Arizona

" So this hospital hasn't gotten over this board yet huh?" - Erica looking away at the board. Which caught Arizona's attention and was surprised to see Erica Hahn, standing right next to her. And most specially, talking to her.

Arizona just responded with a smile. Erica looks at her and smiles at Arizona.

"Dr. Erica Hahn, Cardio Head Surgeon at Chicago Hospital. Grace Hospital flew me in here for a special case... I.. I.. " - Erica continues to smile looking at the blonde. Realizing, the person she's speaking does not respond.

"I'm sorry.. I.. I.. " - Erica

"Dr. Arizona Robbins. Head of Pediatrics Department." - Arizona offering her hand.

Erica shakes her hand.

"Pediatrician? Hmmm I didn't see you way back, when I was here. Well, I don't really make friends easily but.." - Erica

"I'm a Pediatric surgeon." - Arizona answering with a smile and confidence.

"Neat." - Erica sighs " I am doing a surgery with my ex- girlfriend. And..and..as soon as I heard I will be working with her, I thought for a second and..and I thought it'd be the best time to talk to her..although she's obviously mad at me..means she still has feelings for me..I mean.." - Erica while looking at he board.

" You know, Dr. Hahn.. I don't want to hear this. Well you obviously are looking more friendly than what you said you weren't but I don't want to hear this. I am known to be really perky and friendly but this doesn't sit fine with me." - Arizona growing upset about Erica talking to her. But the Arizona that she is, she still manages to smile.

Arizona steps forward and continues to show off her bitchy side.

"..this hospital flew you in here to do your job. You're not here to flirt with your ex girlfriend and I mean EX-GIRLFRIEND..." - Arizona

"Oh wait hold on..hold on.. Okay, I am not talking to you no more! Geez! I didn't realize I just found myself an attacking peds here. I..I.." - Erica

" Hey look! That woman is married and you're not here to just take advantage of the fact that they are on the verge of being divorced because I sure know the person she married will put up a goddamn fight to stay you out of their marriage. I am sorry but I think you are way over the line." - Arizona says calmly and still gives Erica a sarcastic smile.

"I think YOU are over the top stepping on the line. " - Erica getting ready to leave as her pager beeps.

"Okay." - Arizona flashing a smile showing off her cute dimples and continued to look at the bpard as Erica leaves.

Erica enters the OR while patient is coding. Callie trying to save the patient

"What happened?" - as Erica rushes in

""Patient coding blue. One nerve ruptured and I already had it suctioned. But continues to code and heart stopped beating. I was already about to stitch it to finish. Where have you been anyway?" - Callie

"Okay, I got it here. Some blonde Peds doctor just lashed at me bitching out like crazy out there. She took my 5 minutes." as Erica continues to save the life of the patient.

Callie stops for a while. She knows it was her wife, Erica was talking about. Callie smiles as she realizes, her wife was again bitching out for her. That at least she knows Arizona cares.

Operation is over. Callie goes out to release stress. Alex Cristina standing on the side. Erica follows Callie outside.

"It was a challenging surgery huh? I didn't think he was going to survive it, but he did. And.." - Erica pauses and looks at Callie. "So, how was your day?" - Erica

" It was good. And I am so glad, this is already done. It's crazy..and historical.." - Callie

"Historical?" - Erica wonders

"It is historical for many reasons. The fact that you are here. I am working with the same woman who left me in the cold of a dark parking lot and the next thing I know she was gone.." - Callie

On the side...

"This is interesting. Hahn is beaten and rammed down by that woman. Seriously, I was expecting skater girl to be there and they'd end up grabbing each other's hair and stabbing each other with a scalpel." - Cristina

"Robbins won't go there. She'll probably just let it slide. Or she'll probably just bitch out for a sec and move on." - Alex

"She isn't that physical at all? That's boring. She's a boring wife if she didn't even touch Hahn's right ear." - Cristina

"Nah.. She isn't boring. She's just..she's a man like that." - Alex

"She's a man like that, like she won't even give a soft push on a lesbian Barbie?" - Cristina

"She won't. Won't even consider doing it." - Alex

"She's from a family of military people, nothing?..that's lame." as Christina continues to listen to the attending's conversation.

Meanwhile..

" Look, I know you are still mad at me. And that's one of the many things I want to talk about, Callie.." - Erica

"Erica, there's nothing to talk about, okay? My being mad at you has nothing to do with no closure or wanting to fix things up with you. There's nothing to talk about. Your walking out scene with me was my closure. My happy life now is my closure. It sure hurt me when you left but I'm extremely happy now, Erica." - Callie

" Callie, I NEED that closure. MY CLOSURE. When I left, I never stopped thinking about you. And it may sound crazy but I know this is not yet over." - Erica

"What? Are you insane? I am married, Erica" - Callie

"-- so that's why your marriage is crumbling and on the verge of being divorced? Is that what you call extremely happy? Not unless you've become a masochist since I left." - Erica

" Excuse me? Are you serious? Are you for real? And where did you get that buzz around? You've been here for less than a day and you suddenly absorb all these gossip going around this hospital?" - Callie growing upset

"I suppose it isn't a gossip. Well, when that blonde Peds girl strangely become an attacking shark, she seemed to know what she was talking about." - Erica

Arizona, who was standing on the side near the nurse's station overhears the conversation and listened more closely.

"And it's none of your business, Dr. Hahn. Whether or not I fix this marriage is completely none of your freakin' business. I am fixing it. I am fixing it because I am too happy to just let it go. I am not going to walk away from it because it is THAT great. So you see? I don't want to talk to you." - Callie

Callie walks out and Erica holds her arms and stopped her.

"Callie, I am leaving in a few hours. I can't leave unless I settle all these.." - Erica

" Erica, you can leave. This is settled. This has been settled. It's been years, Erica. And I don't want to go backwards. I am not all about talking things out, sometimes, you just got to take a look at someone and know he or she is happy. There are things that don't need to be talked about. And there are people who choose not to talk about things... And I am THAT person." - Callie

"Please..please.. I.." - Erica

Arizona enters the scene.

"Dr. Hahn, I believe my wife just said she doesn't want to talk to you. Did I not mention to you that I  am not going to let you get into the picture again?" - Arizona with a stern voice.

Erica is speechless learning that the blonde she was speaking to was her ex- girlfriend's wife. Erica thought Callie ended up with a "husband".

"Excuse me, am I missing something here?" - Erica in awe

"Let me help you with that. You left her in a cold parking lot. I saw her in a dirty bathroom looking upset and crying. I mean that was months after you left. We got to know each other, we fell in love  we got married, she had a beautiful baby..courtesy of Mark's mighty oak of course.. In  which I now own by the way..the baby..Sofia.." - Arizona states with composure.

 ".. Arizona, it's okay, I got this. " - Callie

"No, I got this. For as long as you are here, watching every move of my wife and taking every opportunity of talking to her and sabotaging our marriage.. I GOT THIS. I grew up watching my father training soldier wannabes, saw him shoot a can from afar and hit it rain in the center  I sure know how to do that.. I can play dirty in the field, I sure CAN do that..." - Arizona

Callie holds her wife on her back.

" You know Dr. Robbins, I am not gonna go there. It's not my personality to turn myself into a monster cock on a pit..no I'm not gonna do that.."- Erica

"We are not gonna do that, but if you continue insisting on harassing my wife just so you could fix this broken pieces of yourself, I WILL do that. " - Arizona

"Ohhhh..your Robbins is a bitchy chick! Oh Mama, she's going to take Hahn down.." - Cristina

" I am not harassing Callie.." - Erica

"Well, you are and it's pissing me off. Dr. Hahn, my wife is done with this surgery and so are you. I'd like to take her home. So please, start packing up and go back to Chicago.".. - Arizona

Arizona grabs Callie by the hand and leaves Erica.

"And by the way, this conversation is the best thing ever happened to me today. You know, pretty much de-stressed. You have a safe trip, Dr. Hahn." - Arizona flashing a smile and leaves Erica.

Cristina and Alex on the other hand both in awe as Arizona and Callie walk pass them.

Stairs

Callie/ Arizona

Callie looks at her wife, still amazed and impressed by what she had done.

"What?" asks Arizona

"Nothing, that was..really bitchy of you in there.. Like Erica for the first time was taken down by a petite gorgeous doctor.." as Callie brushes Arizona's arms looking at her like she is ready to go all the way.

".. I am your wife and I am not going to let that woman do that  to you. I'm not going to let her take you away from me just like that. I didn't let the divorce happen so there's no way in the world I'm gonna let a tall woman with stinky personality, not to mention stinky intention just take you away from me, just like that.." - Arizona states as she stops and looks at her wife.

"..so the divorce.. That's way out of the window now?.. " as Callie wraps her right arm around Arizona's waist, pulling her closer to her.

Arizona brushes through Callie's face down to her neck and pulls Callie's face closer to her.

"I shredded it already. With excitement." - as Arizona kisses her wife's forehead. Then kisses her nose, then her cheeks and smells her Callie like a baby. "Hmmm you smell really good and it makes me feel really excited to go home.." - as Arizona kisses Callie.

Callie put her other arm on Arizona's waist and holds her tight. She holds and touches her with caress and passion enough to heat up Arizona. This made Arizona kiss her hard, holding Callie's head and making her in control.

"Oh god I miss you. So bad. Can we go home? I'm so ready for you right now." - Callie kissing Arizona again.

"Haha, Calliope..you are one hot human." - as Arizona kisses her wife again.

They went home and spent the night.
